The "To-Do" List

by Kayla Howard

It’s fascinating to me how many people love to function off a “to-do” list every single day.   I’ve never  been good at writing anything down, but will occasionally scratch a message on the chalk board or a list of groceries on the back of an old envelope.  This week I found many things coming due or extra things that needed done all of the sudden, so I resorted to a list today.

One tip that I share in my Free Guide to Consistency, is that creating a calendar can really help you fit your workouts into your life.  Exchanging this with a friend is even better because you can hold each other accountable!  Think of it as a workout “to-do” list for an entire month.  It’ll only take you a few minutes at the beginning of the month.  I suggest that you print it off and put it on your fridge so you can “X” the days off as the month progresses.  I know putting it in plain view makes me more motivated to show anyone who might happen to see it that I did do what I planned!

To make your life just a little bit easier, I created this printable calendar for the next month.  Go ahead, print it off and write in your workouts.  Place it on your fridge and let me know if your consistency improves!

Another printable tool is a measuring chart.  I never recommend that people track their progress based on weight if you are exercising to lose size.   Remember, skinny people can be "fat" and fit people don't look skinny, they look VIBRANT!  Always chart your success based on inches lost and expect to weigh more than you look when you start building muscle.

You just never know what might become of your written workout schedules…someday you may help someone else by say, "look here, these are the workouts I did to accomplish XYZ, you can do it too…"!!!

Remember in T-Tapp that:  Muscle Activation (isometrics) + Good Form + Consistency = Positive RESULTS

  1. Just wanted to let you know I really like this!! You’re a blessing to many who are looking for encouragement, and hope! 🙂

  2. Even so, they remain darker than your normal complexion and may possibly seem dirty when you look at it. This is why most people would love to have their stretch marks eliminate – and fast.Perhaps it is a skin embellishment most females and men are embarrassed of having. Regardless of it being nature’s way of proving no 1 is perfect, we try to hide this flaw by applying whichever product could assist us in removing stretch marks.

  3. I am loving your new newsletter for this. I just pull the workout schedule out of it, write the workouts on my to-do list, put the calendar in my workout area, and check off the workouts as I do them (or make a note if I did something different). It takes the procrastination of decision making out of the equation.

  4. Kayla, I love your e-mails. My 30yo daughter has informed me that I AM going to get in shape and she is going to keep me accountable so I printed off 2 calendars and will fill them out with my workout schedule and send a copy to her. Thank you for your positive encouragement. Have fun with Teresa!
