Fluffy Like a Marshmallow

by Kayla Howard

Have you ever noticed your mid section spreading and your upper thighs getting "fluffy" — weight gain that is making you "fluffy"?  Fluffy like a marshmallow?

It's a funny kind of weight gain that just happens overnight, literally.  The kind of "fluff" I'm referring to is the hormonal kind.  If you are like me, as a woman, you gain this "fluff" during the last 2 weeks of the month and don't really enjoy it.

Do you want to know a secret weapon that I have found?

I discovered this secret when I completed a 30 day Ladybug challenge.  I had full intentions of doing complete Ladybug workouts, every other day, for the duration of the challenge.  However, life got in the way and that didn't happen.  In fact, I only did a handful of full workouts during the 30 days.  So how did I achieve such great results?  And how did it show up in pictures during the last few days of the month when I am normally at my largest?

Simple; I used Teresa Tapp's amazing weapons to combat the mid section spread.

Why am I writing about this now?  It seems sort of….random.  Well, I noticed this weekend that I'm getting a little "fluffy" and knew what I should do based on the results I've had in the past.

Are you curious?  What is it that works so well?

I'll tell you, but you have to promise to tell me how it works for you when you give it a try.  It's just 4 moves, most of them are found on the Critter Crunch DVD series.  Be sure and start with a T-Tapp warm up of Primary Back Stretch for best results.

  • Extended Stretching in Linear Alignment
  • Organs in Place & Half Frogs:  Find free instructions on how to do this HERE.
  • Ladybugs: This is a floor exercise that was created for menopause management, hormonal balance and lower body inch loss.  The Ladybug exercise really targets female areas of concern from torso to knee and works well for all body types.
  • Crab Claws:  This is an awesome exercise that effectively helps trim inner thigh pudge!
I already know there will be qustions asked about this, so I'm going to answer a few up front!

Is it safe to do everyday? Well that depends entirely on what else you are doing.  Are you adding this to a Total Workout everyday? Ah-ah-ah!  Don't do it!  Follow the rules of exercise and give your muscles time to rebuild. Remember; More than 30 minutes of T-Tapp is considered a full workout and you should take full days off between.

What DVD's can I find this on?  This sequence is not a DVD stand alone, but most moves can be found on the Critter Crunch DVD's and the Ladybug DVD has all but Crab Claws.

If you have more questions, please post them here so I can answer it for everyone!

So, are you ready to do this with me?  I'm a little nervous about stepping up and saying I will do this, but I also know that accountability is a great way to stay consistent.  Let's say 7 days straight, then report back in next Monday.

Oh and one more thing.  Another MAJOR weapon against "fluff" is the dry skin brush.  Use it my friend!

      1. I did the challenge every day except one and wanted to share my results. From Monday to Monday I only lost a quarter inch, which is kind of disappointing when you look at it just like that, but it doen’t take into consideration the monthly bloat I started experiencing on Tuesday. But I measured on 11.11 when I started the Be Vibrant program, and between 11.11 and today I have lost 5 inches!!! And it’s all in my difficult areas: waist, abs and thighs!!! I’m so excited and wanted to share with you! YAY!

  1. Hey, Kayla. It’s Mary from the DYT Type 1 group. I just came over to check out your site. I’m investigating T-Tapp and knew you were involved, but I had no idea what an awesome leader and coach you are! What a beautiful website! Congratulations on what looks to be a very successful business helping a lot of people. I’m going to subscribe so I don’t miss a post, and I will let you know how I’m coming along with T-Tapp. I’m thinking of just beginning with the 15 Minute Basic Workout Plus DVD. Do you recommend that? Anyway– great to “see” another side of you online and I loved reading your success story on the T-Tapp website. “See” you soon! 😉

    1. Mary–isn’t it so much fun getting to know people online!!! I’ve met the coolest people here in the online world. =)

The 15 minutes is a GREAT place to start! Other good starting options are the MORE workout and the Total workout. MORE is for people with more weight, more birthdays or more injuries. Total is the 15 minute, plus about 30 more minutes of core building. All are amazing options!

      Keep in touch!!!

  2. I plan on joining you. I have done one workout from the Holiday scheduled and then the More Sit down one. I ended up with a horrible cold I brought home from Peru. Thieves has helped with the symptoms but it is exhausting me and I have no strenght and just want to sleep. Friday I did the #2 piece of total workout. I think I can do this challenge for a week since we are lying down 🙂

  3. Kayla- I’ve been doing this pretty much daily, except for Crab Claws because I don’t know that one. I’ve added elevators and freight elevators. Although I didn’t see any inch loss, I do feel less “fluffy” just like you said. I’m hooked on these moves! As hard as they are, nothing can compare to how good I feel after I’m done.
Blessings, and thanks for being such an encourager!

  4. You said most of the moves can be found on the Critter Crunch DVD, which ones are not on that DVD? I am trying to decide which video to order next?

  5. I am doing a two week mini model blitz with bwo+ in the morning and this in the evening.  I started on the 24th.  I've already lost two inches around my waist, an inch around my butt, and an inch around my bicep.  I'm really glad
