Cycles of Chaos

Kayla Howard Family, Self Care 1 Comment

Something about the change in weather has been thinking deeply and talking to myself.  This is a short word, (yes–spiritual content alert) that I wanted to share with you as I’ve been speaking this to myself. <3

Cycles of chaos are often rooted in a lack of genuine desire to be free. We say “I want this be different” but if the actions don’t change the truth is we might enjoy the chaos we create. Are you addicted to chaos and drama? If you’re easily bored, stuck in unhealthy patterns or find yourself repeating the same silly “dance” with every relationship, then maybe it’s time to face the truth that some part of you enjoys it– that you feel safe and comfortable with an unhealthy form of control.

Come up. Come up higher. You don’t need un-forgiveness to protect your heart. You don’t need new things to feel satisfied. You don’t need to be busy doing something to feel accomplished. You’re addicted and it’s idolatry. Stop convincing yourself that it’s who you are– it’s not. Come up. Come up and rest. Come up and release forgiveness, release control. Say YES to peace. Say YES to God’s true design for you.

With Love, Kayla
